The market had a positive day today and throughout the trading session it traded with a positive bias. Nifty opened today at 8392., made a high of 8440, fell as low as 8391 and finally closed at 8423 (+0.69%). Its current support is at 8000 while its resistance is at 8800.
Among the sectors, the highest gainers today were CNX IT (+1.15%), CNX FINANCE (+1.15%), BANK NIFTY (+0.95%), CNX PSU BANK (+0.92%) and CNX MEDIA (+0.80%). The highest losers today were CNX METAL (-0.58%), CNX AUTO (-0.55%) and CNX REALTY (-0.20%). The reason for the rise of the CNX IT sector was mostly due to the rise in ROLTA (-5.45%). Its current support is at 98 while its resistance is at 120.
Among the prominent stocks, the highest gainer today was TECHM (+3.35%) followed by HCLTECH (+2.51%), HDFC (+2.13%), TCS (+1.76%), and WIPRO (+1.74%). The stocks which fell the most today were BAJAJ-AUTO (-2.37%), IDEA (-2.26%), TATASTEEL (-2.09%) and CAIRN (-2.06%). TECHM was trading today with a high of 643 and a low of 620 to finally closed at 640. Its current support is at 598.5. while resistance is at 681.
