The market had another mildly negative day today compared to yesterday’s close and throughout the trading session it traded with a positive bias. Nifty opened today at 8232, made a high of 8236, fell as low as 8137 and finally closed at 8221 (-0.17%). Its current support is at 7792 while its resistance is at 8479.
Among the sectors, the highest gainers today were CNX PSU BANK (+2.85%), CNX REALTY (+1.10%), CNX AUTO (+0.86%), CNX METAL (+0.82%) and CNX FMCG (+0.14%). The highest losers today were CNX IT (-0.69%), CNX PHARMA (-0.18%) and CNX FINANCE (-0.13%). The reason for the massive rise of the CNX PSU BANK sector was mostly due to the rise in ORIENTBANK (-10.66%). Its current support is at 192 while its resistance is at 232.
Among the prominent stocks, the highest gainer today was ASIANPAINTS (+4.26%) followed by PNB (+3.49%), HINDALCO (+3.07%), BPCL (+2.87%), and SBIN (+2.62%). The stocks which fell the most today were LUPIN (-3.17%), VEDL(-1.60%), POWERGRID (-1.24%) and HCLTECH (-1.23%). ASIANPAINTS was trading today with a high of 803 and a low of 755 to finally closed at 796.45. Its current support is at 730. while resistance is at 843.
