Nifty faced extreme intra-day volatility as the index fluctuated within a day’s range of over 100 points in today’s session. At a close of 7729, the index posted a weak close near the lowest point of the day’s session. Cash market volumes are on the lower side over the past couple of sessions so far. The underlying trend of the index is down and as per the trend and momentum indicators it is likely that this downside drift extends further more towards 7650. On the upside, today’s high of 7820 acts as the immediate resistance for the index.
