What is NISM?

The National Institute of Securities Markets is referred to as NISM. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), which oversees the country’s securities markets, founded this independent organization. The goal of NISM’s establishment in 2006 was to advance research and education in the area of securities markets.

The goal of NISM’s educational programs and certification exams is to improve the knowledge and abilities of people who are employed in the securities markets or who want to work in them. The NISM full form is the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM certification), which is the educational arm of the Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has taken a major step in India since 2006 to develop the level of financial education in the country.

NISM helps the market participants of India to develop their financial skills to the right level and expertise. This helps them to provide high-quality service and actions to anyone who wishes to invest in the financial markets.

      Since you have not mentioned the role in which you want to work in the Financial Markets, it would not be possible for us to guide you in a proper manner.

      In a generalized manner:
      CFA is necessary to become a hardcore fundamental analyst.

      On the other NISM Series, 8 has been made mandatory by SEBI for all sales personnel and other approved users of trading members of either Equity segment or Equity Derivatives Segment.

      You have not mentioned in which role you want to joint in bank securities Ltd in the stock market and mutual funds.

      Each role requires a different NISm Certificate.

      For example: If you want to become a research analyst in the stock market you need to mandatorily qualify NISM Series XV: Research Analyst Certification Examination
      If you want to sell mutual fund products you will have to mandatorily qualify NISm Series V(A): Mutual Fund Distributors Certification Examination
