Revised STCG and LTCG Taxes 

Short term gains of financial assets to attract 20% tax rate  Long term gains on all financial an non-financial assets to attract a tax rate of 12.5%   Increase in limit of exemption of capital gains on financial assets to ₹1.25 lakh per year 

New Income Tax Structure 

Standard Deduction for salaried employees increased from ₹50,000 to ₹75,000 Deduction on family pension for pensioners increased from  ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 . 0-3 laks- Nil 3 lakh- 7 lakh- 5% 7-10 lakh- 10% 10-12 lakh- 15% 12- 15 lakh - 20% above ₹15 lakh-30%

Free electricity upto 300 units per month for 1 crore households under solar panel scheme Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced scheme for rooftop solar panels that would enable 1 crore households to have electricity free of cost upto 300 units per month

Priorities for Viksit Bharat Innovation, Research & Development: Develop Vishnupad and Mahabodhi Temple Corridors, modeled on the Kashi Vishwanath Temple Corridor. Undertake comprehensive development of Rajgir, significant for Hindus, Buddhists, and Jains. Develop Nalanda as a tourist center and revive Nalanda University.
